2018 Carmenere
$49.00
The biggest, baddest grape on Red Mountain, Carmenere. If you like blackberries and jalapenos, this wine is for you. Enjoy our 2018 Carmenere when you want to spice up any evening or if you are enjoying street tacos, one of our favorite foods to pair with this wine. We love even with small plantings of this variety on Red Mountain, we get to source a couple ton from Heart of the Hill Vineyard (owned and farmed by Kiona Vineyards and Winery), one of the only vineyards on the mountain planting this wine grape.

Description | The biggest, baddest grape on Red Mountain, Carmenere. | Our best two barrels were selected (marked “X”) and aged for 24 months in French oak barrels - about twice as long as our non-reserve wines. Only 50 cases produced from the 2017 honey harvest. Arguably, replaces our non-reserve Brut as the best dry honey wine on the market. Release date Spring 2020. | Inviting aromas of ripe apricot, peach, orange peel, and jasmine flowers jump from the glass. Beautifully balanced sugar and acid make this wine rich and refreshing. Enjoy this wine with a spicy curry, soft cheeses, fresh fruits, or your favorite pie. The grapes were hand harvested and carefully pressed. The resulting juice went through a clean and cool fermentation in stainless steel tanks for twelve days. No time in oak and no malo-lactic fermentation; this wine was made in the vineyard.
|
The world standard for premium dry honey wine. Barrel aged in 100% French oak. Crisp, dry, and complex but with no bitter tannins.
Imbibers who enjoy drier cocktails or cider, pilsner style beers, and a variety of grape wine will appreciate versatile “Brut.”
Pair with foods normally difficult to pair wine with (e.g. eggs, salads, smoked salmon, young goat cheese, light seafood).
| Late Harvest Gewurtz... #Dope That's it. It's just Dope. | A delightful red blend, that is the namesake of the beach where Phil and Debra were married. The label is literally “moonstones” that they found on Moonstone Beach, and formed into a heart to tie in with the other labels. A off dry blend (1.5%) residual sugar) of 48% Grenache, 29% Zinfandel, and 23% Petite Sirah.
