2018 Chardonnay, Sonoma Carneros
Description
Our 2018 Chardonnay was crafted from a low-yielding vineyard in the Carneros AVA that consistently produces some of the region’s best Chardonnay grapes. Cool misty mornings and warm breezy afternoons make this vineyard site exceptional for growing Chardonnay. This well-structured wine displays a delicate balance between oak/butter and crisp acidity. This wine offers delicate aromas of citrus, jasmine and apple with a slight hint of pear, pineapple and toasted sourdough. The citrus and stone fruit flavors are complemented by a bright acidity. The mid-palate displays a creamy texture that balances beautifully with citrus flavors and integrated oak. The grapes were harvested in September 2018 and aged in 50% new French oak for 10 months. We suggest this wine be served in a Burgundy style glass at 45 degrees. The large bowl and narrow rim are necessary to aerate and concentrate aromas. It won a Double Gold Medal in the 2019 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition and a Silver Medal in the 2019 San Francisco International Wine Competition.

Description | 2018 Knock On Wood: 100% Chardonnay, all stainless-steel and no malolactic fermentation. Procured from hillside vineyards in Yamhill-Carlton AVA, reminiscent of the grand crus of Burgundy's Cote d'Or. It benefited from a very long and cold fermentation - almost two months - resulting in a lean and mean wine with perfume of honeydew melon and pear surfing huge waves of minerals, bringing a nice tide of racy starfruit to the finish. | A delightful red blend, that is the namesake of the beach where Phil and Debra were married. The label is literally “moonstones” that they found on Moonstone Beach, and formed into a heart to tie in with the other labels. A off dry blend (1.5%) residual sugar) of 48% Grenache, 29% Zinfandel, and 23% Petite Sirah.
| deb-ru-vee’ is our signature Rhone Style blend. You will be greeted by deep dark ruby red color followed by aromas of vanilla, spice, dark cherry, blackberry, violet and bitter chocolate enlivened by mineral and anise accents. Round tannins coupled with beautiful complexity create a wine of harmony and balance, with an excellent thrust on the incredibly smooth and lingering finish. this wine is wonderfully bright and energetic which assures that you will be repaid handsomely for cellaring. 65% Grenache, 28% Syrah, 6% Mourvedre, and 1% Petite Sirah.

The nose boasts aromas of white fruit, star jasmine and mango. Long on the palate, its reminiscent of caramelized butter and almond with a hint of cardamom and citrus zest. The wine was 100% barrel fermented in a mix of Francois Frere and Baron oak barrels 38% new for 8 months before bottling. The wine went through 100% malolactic fermentation with a mix of native and inoculated ferments. | Our Rosé Provence 2018 is a brilliant, pale pink color, exuding fruitiness and elegance. The grapes from sandstone soils bring out the fruitiness and the grapes grown on vineyards with rounded pebbles bring a richness and elegance to the wine. On the palate, crisp light notes of fresh picked strawberry and white nectarine lead to an elegant, lengthy and a mineral finish.
