Description | FLO (For the Love Of) wines are the project of Jazz Pianist Marcus Johnson. These wines, like music, enhance life’s experiences and remind us to embrace and enjoy the journey. The Moscato is bright and balanced with fresh aromatics and just a hint of sweetness. | 2018 Knock On Wood: 100% Chardonnay, all stainless-steel and no malolactic fermentation. Procured from hillside vineyards in Yamhill-Carlton AVA, reminiscent of the grand crus of Burgundy's Cote d'Or. It benefited from a very long and cold fermentation - almost two months - resulting in a lean and mean wine with perfume of honeydew melon and pear surfing huge waves of minerals, bringing a nice tide of racy starfruit to the finish. | Qualities of t’ej port meet in Sonoma Valley to produce a unique sweet dessert honey wine in a clear bottle. A single barrel was selected (marked “X”) and aged for 30 months - more than twice as long as our non-reserve wines. Only 55 cases produced from the 2017 honey harvest,17% ABV. Release date TBD Summer 2020. Release summer 2020. | This vintage of Pinot Blanc follows other award winning vintages, including the 2017 which won “Best White Wine” in the Livermore Valley, at the 2018 Tri-Valley Uncorked Wine Competition, and “Best Overall Pairing at last years ”Taste our Terroir”, Livermore Valley’s premier food and wine competition. This medium bodied Pinot Blanc boasts aromas of white peach, citrus, melon and honey. This bright and racy wine brings a fresh creaminess adding fullness to the mouth feel with a soft and creamy mid-palate. A long finish brings the whole experience together with just a touch of stone fruit and minerals. Serve slightly chilled, with the following suggested pairings: Scallops sautéed in lemon butter with zest of citrus and lime, grilled prawns, fish tacos, clam steamers, or just about any seafood.
| Eye Purple garnet core, rose rim. Nose Savory roasted herbs, sour cherry, ruby red grapefruit, alpine forest. Palate Textured, layered, grippy tannins. | |
