| Tamarind has a long history of medicinal use. It was traditionally used to help ease stomach discomfort, aid digestion and promote better bowel movement. Tamarind preparations are also used to help relieve fever, sore throat, rheumatism, inflammation and heat stroke. Meanwhile, dried or boiled tamarind leaves and flowers are made into poultices for swollen joints, sprains, boils, hemorrhoids and conjunctivitis. The honey is a part of our specialty lines of honey because of its rarity. Available in limited quantity | Our Tupelo honey is a rare honey that is only harvested in the Apalachicola swamp lands located in the Panhandle of Florida during a small 1 to 3-week window in the Spring of each year. This prestigious honey has a delicate floral, buttery taste and rarely crystallizes, if at all, because of its high fructose level. 10% of our proceeds will go to a Florida-based, nonprofit organization called “Bees Beyond Borders.” This organization helps train beekeepers throughout the Caribbean. We hope you enjoy! |
Bee pollen is wonderful for natural allergy relief and is responsible for the many health benefits of raw honey. Bee-gathered pollens are rich in proteins (approximately 40% protein), free amino acids and vitamins, including the B-complex, and folic acid
| The main antioxidant compounds in blueberries belong to a large family of polyphenols, called Flavonoids, and in particular, anthocyanins. Anthocyanins are thought to be responsible for much of the beneficial health effects, and have been known to help prevent heart disease, lower blood pressure and increase brain function. | |
