Uses: Great in soups, broils, marmalades, desserts, gingerbreads, biscuits, preserves, chutneys & drinks
To substitute fresh ginger for ground ginger, use ½ tsp ground for each Tbsp. of fresh ginger required
To make Green Ginger Tigernut Smoothies:
- 3 cups spinach or kale
- 1 ½ cup water
- ½ avocado
- 1 medium banana
- ½ cup Tigernut flour (optional)
- 2 pitted dates
- ½ to 1 tablespoon ground ginger
- Lemon juice/ 1 squeezed lemon
Instructions:
- Add all ingredients into a high speed blender
- Add ice if desired and blend until very smooth
- Serve cold
